Crossing the tracks down by the waterway,
When the lights changed from green to red.
Making shadows shimmer under birch trees,
She came her eyes devoured all she saw.
‘I thought I had a life!’ I stammered and she,
Said, ‘Never, for all shall fall.’ her golden
Eyes fixed on my face; she drew a smirk;
As I rose to stand under her, with my derby.
My moonstruck madness has vanished,
For willingly I take her amphetamines;
If I could turn from her, I’d die, for Earth
No longer exists, under the birch trees.
